This is my answer ↑↑ It's all Comfort food, Cosy and Christmassy!
Yeh yeh I know it's only September but when something only happens once a year, I'm going to stretch it out! 😉
This time round, I've set myself a challenge and no it's not to hold off feeling festive until December, sorry! 🎄←A cheeky but relevant Christmas tree icon used in September😁
Before I tell you about it, here's a few current facts about me:
I don't like dieting (it's hard! & is it healthy anyway?)
I don't own scales (they just bring dread & I think they're unhealthy!)
I love food (my social life revolves around food & drink!)
I have a sweet tooth (A full set!)
I'm getting cushiony (or maybe 'pillowy')
I get bloated (think early pregnancy roundedness!)
My clothes are very tight ('hindering circulation' tight)
I've ventured into double letters in the bra department (Not so bad 😉)
I'm nearly forty (a youthful 40 obviously!)
Nodding your head to any of those? I hear you!
You know what? if I'm cushiony that's me! If my clothes are tight, I can just buy a bigger size!
But, this isn't me, I want to feel energetic, fit and comfortable!
So this September I'm going to avoid processed foods!
(Insert shocked face! --I actually typed 'food' instead of 'face' first time! that say's it all right!😆)
I know it's not exactly an 'abseiling down a building' sort of challenge (that would be crazy!) but a challenge all the same!
I refuse to call it a diet! So I'm going to call it 'avoiding processed food' catchy eh?! 😆
I'm heading back to basics, back to simple food!
I like meat and fish, fruit and veg so this should be easy... some good clean eating, I'll throw in some nuts to shake things up a bit 😐
I'll put it out there now, I do have a few events this month so I'm not going to avoid them or get fanatical about it. But, my problem is being consistant most days! so in general I'm going to be saying no to the rubbish!
My helpful husband highlighted a few processed things that I couldn't eat, like balsamic, yogurt and olive oil. So I quickly declared that I was going to make up my own version of 'avoiding processed rubbish' 🙂
Yogurt I can leave, but salads without balsamic?! Come on!
So watch this space and I'll let you know if I start running marathons with my new found energy, oh and feel free to send some positive vibes my way!
