When I was at college (aaaaages ago!) I wanted a tattoo, it's twenty years later (20!) and I've finally had my dose of ink! Some may call it a mid life crisis, I call it finally! 😀 My daughter and I spent the day being scratched into an art piece by the amazing Marcin at Evolved Tattoo.
As for the pain, it was actually okay! but when it came to the rose it bloody hurt! Interesting considering the rose represents my daughter! I may have scowled a little whilst muttering, 'I've given birth, I've given birth' (My way of dealing with any pain that life throws at me!) When the rose was done it was a relief until it came to the daisy at the top of my back...wow! I felt like I was being sliced! Thank god for breathing techniques! In fact it's a good job the rest of the tattoo hadn't felt like that or I'd have probably come home with just a leaf!
Being a tattoo virgin, I was nervous about getting a good tattooist who wasn't going to leave us wanting cover ups in a years time! I wanted clean, professional, friendly, and skills! and the guys at Evolved stepped up!
So that's it, we're tattooed with beautiful creations that have a special meaning to us (my daughter even designed hers!) Having my back look completely different to how it's looked for the last thirty nine years is a bit strange at first, a bit like suddenly using a different surname when I got married. A different me, but the same me! I love my tattoo! (and my married name!)
From pre-tattoo to just done and rather red, and ending with my beautiful back ☺
